The Company has been serving as the vehicle for commercialization and exploitation of the research conducted at the University. The Company provides contractual, financial and administrative support for the University's technology transfer, collaborative research and consulting activities with the industry. 

 

Job Description

We are looking for a high-calibre individual to fill the position of Assistant IT Manager.  The appointee is a core member of the company, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s IT infrastructure, including websites, web-based services, software and computer systems for administrative and research purposes.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and maintain information systems at RDC, including but not limited to the Financial Management System (FMS) and RDC Agreement Management System (RAMS);
    • Collect and analyze user requirements to prepare functional and technical specifications;
    • Coordinate with vendors to oversee project progress and ensure the successful delivery of system requirements
    • Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operation between integrated systems
  • Lead and Manage KT digital transformation initiatives;
  • Provide technical support to office operations;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or above in IT or related disciplines with at least 5 years of working experience in IT system implementation, with at least 3 years in management position or similar role.  The ideal candidate should:

  • Have solid experience in System Development Life Cycle from User Requirement/Design to User Acceptance.
  • Proficiency in web application development (HTML, CSS, .NET framework, ASP.NET, PHP) and API integration (XML, JSON);
  • Proficiency in RDBMS database SQL, e.g. MSSQL DB, MySQL, Oracle DB;
  • Good analytical and communication skills; proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Strong technical background in Windows Servers and application servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat) is an advantage;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Drupal and other content management systems;
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik is an advantage;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is an advantage

 

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

 

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
